Kindling Academy is a new kind of school:
One where wellness isn’t a buzzword.
Where project-based learning meets Montessori roots.
Where teachers are treated like the heart of the school, not a cost center.
And where students and adults are seen as capable, creative, and ready to lead.
We’re currently accepting applications for early childhood educators, assistants, and founding team members. You don’t need to be everything— but you do need to be all in.
Who We Are Looking for
We don’t care if you’ve taught in public school, private school, or a jungle hut.
We care that you are:
- Trained in or passionate about Montessori
- Have training in project-based learning or open to new models
- Strong communicators: with children, highly involved parents, and teammates
- Can learn a new tech platform without panicking
- Value collaboration over silos and feedback over comfort
- Are curious about wellness, entrepreneurship, or alternative models
- Excited to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment with strong values
- Comfortable with radical candor, shared ownership, and feedback-rich culture

Help shape the culture, team, and systems of a school that’s doing things differently. We’re looking for a leader who thrives in start-up energy—organized, people-smart, and excited to build a strong foundation with us. Montessori knowledge is a bonus, but vision-alignment is essential.

Not Hiring yet- But we’d love to connect (positions open end of 2025)
We’re looking for experienced Montessori educators (3–9) who love child-led learning and see the magic in young children. You’ll guide a mixed-age classroom that blends core Montessori work with nature, movement, and Project based learning, supported by a collaborative team and visionary families.

Not Hiring yet- But we’d love to connect (positions open end of 2025)
Perfect for nurturing, curious educators who want to support children’s independence and joy. You’ll help create beautiful learning spaces, model kindness and care, and assist in guiding a small group of children alongside a Lead Guide. Montessori experience is helpful but not required.
What the Process Looks Like
It’s personal. Reflective. And built to help us find the right fit, not just fill seats.
You’ll submit:

A thoughtful form that helps us understand your background, mindset, and values. Includes a short video introduction and a few creative prompts that reflect the role.

We review your application and video to get a feel for your alignment with our mission, culture, and needs.
We look for strong communication, initiative, and values fit—not just credentials

Some candidates will move forward to interviews—either a one-on-one conversation or a collaborative discussion depending on the role. We may ask for references or additional materials if needed.
